Stan BennettStan Bennett

Stan was born and raised in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, and a U.S. Marine Corps combat veteran, retiring with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel after twenty years of active service.

Before entering the practice of law, Stan also served on the faculties of the U.S. Naval Academy, and Vanderbilt University, as a Marine officer and instructor of History, English, and Ethics. He holds a Masters of Arts degree from St. John’s College, in Annapolis, Maryland, a Masters of Business Administration from Samford University, in Birmingham, Alabama, and a Juris Doctor degree from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University.

While in law school Stan was a law clerk in the office of Justice Tom Woodall, Supreme Court of Alabama. After graduation he returned to his home town of Murfreesboro to serve as law clerk to Chancellor Robert E. Corlew, III. After leaving the courts Stan worked in the Murfreesboro office of McClellan, Powers, Ehmling and Rogers, P.C. for several years, where his practice focused on and Insurance Defense and Personal Injury litigation, Criminal Defense, Probate, and Family Law cases.

Stan’s current practice at Bennett, Parkerson and Bray is primarily devoted to Personal Injury, Criminal Defense, Business, and Family Law litigation. Stan also practices in the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, in Washington D.C., where he represents veterans and their families pro bono.

Stan is a member of Nashville First Church of the Nazarene. He also belongs to several professional organizations to include, Tennessee Association for Justice, Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Rutherford and Cannon County Bar Association, and the Veterans Law Consortium in Washington, D.C.


Thomas ParkersonThomas Parkerson

Thomas Parkerson began the practice of law at Boston, Holt, Sockwell, & Durham, in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee in 2003. During this time his areas of practice included divorce, child custody, personal injury, workers compensation, social security disability claims, and general civil litigation throughout middle Tennessee.

In 2005, Mr. Parkerson moved to Murfreesboro to become a member of the 16th Judicial District District Attorney General's Office. As a prosecutor, Thomas began in General Sessions Court handling all types of criminal cases.

During this time in General Sessions, Thomas became familiar with every aspect of prosecuting a criminal case. From the original warrant, to meeting with MPD, SPD, Cannon County, and LPD Officers regarding the cases to gaining crucial court room experience daily as many cases were set for preliminary hearings before the judges as well as bench trials.

After 2 years in General Sessions, Thomas was promoted to Circuit Court Criminal Division in Rutherford County, Tennessee. As a Circuit Court prosecutor the responsibilities included preparing indictments, being present at Grand Jury for presentation of indictments, and following the cases through arraignment, pre-trial motions, to jury trial.

Thomas completed his undergraduate work at the University of Tennessee at Martin. He then obtained his law degree from Mississippi College School of Law in Jackson, Mississippi. He is licensed to practice in Tennessee & Mississippi.

Thomas BrayThomas H. Bray

Thomas began his career in the legal field in 2006 working in the Rutherford County Chancery Court as a Deputy Clerk while attending the Nashville School of Law. During his time with the Chancery Court, Thomas had the opportunity to observe countless trials by the some of finest attorneys in the Middle Tennessee area while becoming familiar with behind the scenes operations of the Chancery Court Clerk’s office.

In 2008, Thomas served as law clerk to the Honorable J. Mark Rogers, Circuit Judge for the 16th Judicial District. After leaving the Judge’s office, Thomas took a clerk position with Bragg, Mansfield, and Stegall where he worked on civil, criminal, and real property cases until passing the Tennessee Bar Examination in 2009.

Thomas holds an Associates Degree in computer information systems from Jackson State Community College, a Bachelors Degree in political science from Middle Tennessee State University and a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from the Nashville School of Law.

Thomas is a member of the Rutherford County Bar Association and the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys. His primary practice areas are criminal, family law, and juvenile cases.
